The waitress explained to us how long each took to cook in the broth. We both decided on beef as the meat (protein) it comes with enoki mushrooms, watercress, slice potatoes, another white root which was like a big radish without the kick, tofu, a piece crab leg imitation, 2 small meat balls and a fish ball. That’s the base of the most delicious intricate soup I have tasted. We selected a pot that we shared half spicy and half not.
The table has a plate warmer in the center. We were cold so we also orders Taro warm milk tea with tapioca bubbles OMG I was in love. I was apprehensive that we would know what to order well our waitress was absolutely adorable. The soups are based on chicken broth that is cooked down from the chicken bone containing the riches of the marrow. the aromas was making me hungrier, I couldn’t place the aroma. The hostess was amazing she located a table got it cleaned and said in 5 minutes I will sit you is that ok?. We arrived and thought the place was empty once we went in we realized it was packed. One of my colleagues had recommended this place. Now that's what I call a great deal.This was our first experience with Mongolian food. As I mentioned in the beginning, the best time to go it's on weekdays and order their lunch special. It is always a fun place to eat with the family but be prepared to spend a lot of money. No reservation for party of less than six. You can wait until your turn or try other restaurants in the complex. The food has been consistently very good (broth and The freshness of the meat and vegetable). The meat is sliced very thin so they cook really fast in the boiling soup. We have tried the vegetable combo platter but prefers to stick with broccoli, Napa cabbage, and bok choy.īeware that the vegetables and the meat shrink when you cook them.

Quite pricey for the amount of meat that you get. We have not been able to spend less than $30 per person when all is said and done. If you order one meat, one veggie, one meatball and wonton per person, expect to spend at least $25 per person without drinks and tax/tip. I suspect they use a fair amount of MSG as well. It came with tons of chilis and other spices. I personally think the regular broth is too salty but the spicy one is just right. I prefer the spicy soup base but the rest of the family stick with the regular. time we went was for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. Not only it is economical but less crowded. The best time to go is for their lunch special Monday through Friday before 3 PM for $10.95. Some weeknights this restaurant is also full. This hot pot restaurant is very popular on the weekends. we were more than satisfied actually it’s a great value each person is $11.50 lots and lots of food and we definitely took home a doggy bag. fish roe a must try that’s a separate piece you can order. great service, great food a little loud but once you are engulfed in the meal everything fades and you just eat the soup. We had control over the cooking time and how we wanted each to enter the hot broth.
